About The Author
Dr. Asadullah YateĀ (Cantab.) has translated works from Arabic, Persian, German and French, and, in collaboration with others, from Turkish. Among his published works areĀ Ibn Rushd, Mujtahid of Europe, containing his translation of the chapters on usury fromĀ Bidayat al-Mujtahid,Ā Islam in the School of Madina, the commentary of Ahmad ibn Bashir al-Qalaawi ash-Shinqeeti onĀ al-Murshid al-MuāeenĀ of Ibn āAshir, andĀ The Secret GardenĀ by Mahmoud Shabistari. He teaches Arabic and Fiqh at the Weimar Institute and is a Founding Fellow of The Muslim Faculty of Advanced Studies.
