About The Book

Having true and genuine love for the Messenger of Allah SAW is a divine command, and cultivating this love to the point that he becomes more beloved to one than one’s very described by the Prophet e as the hallmark of true faith.

In emulation of the great Imam al-Bukhārī, who detailed the love of the Messenger of Allah SAW in the Book of Faith in his Ṣaḥīḥ, the author and leading hadith authority of the Levant, Shaykh Nūr al-Dīn ʿItr, acquaints the reader with the true meaning of sincere and earnest love for the Prophet SAW in light of the Qur’an and prophetic speech on this most pertinent of topics. Moreover, Shaykh Nūr al-Dīn goes on to enumerate anecdotal evidence of the tremendous heights reached in loving him SAW, exhibited and expressed by his family and Companions, and thus provides the reader with a distinct formula to gain, increase and perfect one’s love for the Mercy to the Worlds.

About The Author

Shaykh Nur al-Din ‘Itr (born in 1934) is one of the leading contemporary scholars from Aleppo, Syria in and Hadith sciences. For many years he has served as the head of the Faculty for and Hadith Sciences and as a professor at the University of Damascus and other Islamic institutes.
